Spring High School Choir
The Clear Creek Independent School District is pleased to announce Clear Spring High School’s production of Seussical earned eight 2016 Tommy Tune Award nominations including Best Musical. Seussical takes audiences into the world of Dr. Seuss, where beloved characters including The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie, and JoJo come alive.
The Tommy Tune competition is sponsored by Theatre Under the Stars. The award program recognizes excellence in musical theatre for the greater Houston Area. The Clear Springs Theatre and Choir Departments are thrilled with nominations for Best Ensemble/Chorus, Best Scenic Design, Best Costume Design, Best Lighting Design, Best Stage Crew & Technical Execution, Best Choreography and Best Direction as well as Best Musical.
The 2016 Tommy Tune Awards Ceremony will be held at the Hobby Center in Houston on April 19, 2016. With the Best Musical nomination, Clear Springs High School students will have the honor of performing a selection from Seussical during the ceremony.
